Duplicate Listings not Allowed, Risk being Banned

Post by playalinda »

To keep the "Timeshare for Rent / Sale by owners" message board clean and fair towards other renters and rentees, duplicate listings of the same units are not allowed.

If an user persists in this behavior, that user will risk being banned from the bulletin board.

We also urge our members to alert us of such behavior, if you notice anything please send us an email to: forum@playalinda.com

Hello!!
What do you mean by 'duplicate listings?'
How many days apart from each other?
Be specific if you want us to understand what you are trying to communicate.

Hi,
My original posting that I posted in September to rent my unit in week 27 was somehow taken down by someone. I just posted it again today.
Do you delete the postings after a certain length of time??
If you didn't take it down, then please tell me how it got deleted.
Thank you,
Roseann

To delete: click on the 'X' on the right quadrant of your message.

Yes - postings roll off after a certain amount of time.

I am along time user of the member builtin board and often use it to rent one or both of my suites. I read this notice about no duplicate listing being allowed, and find the rule unclear. It seems others have the same problem as many questions were asked here about the definition of "duplicate", but I see no clear reply.

So, let me ask clearly: in the past -- once my post was several weeks old and did not get a good response (and was now many pages in and harder to find as well) I would delete it and construct and post a new one.

So, does this count as a duplicate post even thought the original was deleted first and the end result is just a single post in the system?

Regarding Duplicates, It is not done intentionally. It takes several tries to submit before the listing even shows up. Then you can't even delete the duplicates. What am I not understanding. I have been using this bulletin board since 1985. Thank you John Diana

I believe postings are removed by PL when 30 days have passed from the date they were originally posted.
